History:

Under the CBEC Cadre Restructuring done in Oct-14, this office was made The Office of Principal Commissioner of Customs falling under Jurisdiction of Chief Commissioner of Customs, Gujarat Zone, vide Notification No. 77/2014 dated 16.09.2014. Prior to this the Mundra Customs was the Office of the Additional/Joint Commissioner of Customs falling under jurisdiction of Kandla Customs Commissionerate and has been separated since 15^th Oct 2014.

Further, after the Cadre Restructuring the Staff strength has been revised as per CBECs orders and also many new Sections have been created viz. SIIB, Refund, etc., which prior to CR, were only present at Commissionerate level at Kandla.
